About
Vijay Bains is the Group Chief Sustainability Officer and Group Head of ESG for Emirates NBD Group. Vijay is a member of the WEF Sustainability Leaders Forum and the S and P Sustainability Leaders Group. Within the Emirates NBD Group, Vijay oversees the evolution and implementation of the Group’s ESG strategy to reduce the Bank’s environmental impact, and increase sustainability considerations. Vijay is also responsible for the Group’s sustainable finance approach and transition finance approach, as well as evolution and increase in the monitoring and disclosures in regards to Sustainability. Vijay has worked in Sustainability for 20 + years and commenced his career as an Environmental Scientist and Climate Scientist.
